CRITIQUE SERIES FOR ARTISTS
Share ideas and experiences through in-depth discussion of each artist’s work. The series covers exhibition opportunities, presentation of work, gallery information and discussion of current art controversies and interesting art journal readings. Critique members enrolled in the series may participate in our fall exhibition at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.

SCULPTURE IN THE NEW WING OF THE ART INSTITUTE
Join Joanna Pinsky for three sessions in the New Wing of the Art Institute to explore the development of ideas in sculpture from the twentieth to the twenty-first century.
Session 1: Breaking Away: Influences of Cubism and Surrealism in the first half of the twentieth century.
Session 2: The Head and the Heart: Primary Structures, Earth Art and Pop Art.
Session 3: You Call that Sculpture? Contemporary works that challenge previous notions of what constitutes sculpture ranging from art made of stuffed animals, light bulbs, text and video art.
