Rubén Aguirre
Dempster Street Metra underpass at Sherman Avenue

Chicago artist Rubén Aguirre brought this vivid and colorful mural to the north end of the Main-Dempster Mile during EMAP’s first year.

Shawn Bullen
Elmwood Avenue Metra embankment at Davis Street

Travel and Flight by Chicago/New York artist Shawn Bullen depicts different modes of transportation juxtaposed with natural elements, such as bees and birds, to express themes of freedom in travel, healthy lifestyles, and the natural environment.

Nick Goettling
Central Street Metra underpass at Green Bay Road

Chicago/Seattle artist Nick Goettling bridged the east and west business districts along Central Street with Constellations and Connections, featuring images of stargazers and the cosmos.

Alfonso “Piloto” Nieves-Ruiz
Foster Street and Jackson Avenue

Chicago artist Alfonso “Piloto” Nieves-Ruiz combined clay tiles and mirrors to highlight the statement “You Are Brilliant” in this mural, which was painted with the help of youth from the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.

Lea Pinsky & Dustin Harris
Church Street and Darrow Avenue

These two murals on either side of Church Street, titled Live Your Dream and Trust Your Heart, were painted in 2016 and 2017 by Evanston artists and co-founders of the Evanston Mural Arts Program Dustin Harris and Lea Pinsky. This project was completed in partnership with 2nd ward Council Member Peter Braithewaite as a way to uplift the neighborhood close to Evanston Township High School.
