Jason Brown & Lea Pinsky
Alley Gallery Exterior Wall, 1712 Rear 2 Sherman Avenue

Evanston artists Jason Brown and Lea Pinsky created the design for this mural using a visual graphed rendering of Evanston’s zip codes: 60201, 60202, and 60203/8. It was painted by youth and community members during three city-wide festivals: YEA Festival, Evanston Chamber Summerfest, and Streets Alive!

Cheri Lee Charlton
Lake Street Metra/CTA underpass at Sherman Avenue

This mural, titled 100 Years of Evanston Girl Scouts, was painted by Chicago artist Cheri Lee Charlton in celebration of the 100 year anniversary of Girl Scouts in Evanston. Cheri painted the mural with the help of almost 200 youth ages 10-16 from 30 different troops.

Dalek (James Marshall)
Emerson Street Metra underpass at Green Bay Road and Ridge Avenue

North Carolina artist James Marshall, aka Dalek, created this graphic and striking design to complement the neighboring sculpture, Stitch, which the city of Evanston commissioned from Australian sculptor Warren Langley the same year.

Dustin Harris
South Boulevard Metra/CTA underpass at Chicago Avenue

Portal by Evanston artist Dustin Harris was originally painted in 2018 and was restored with an updated design in 2023. The project was planned in partnership with 9th ward council member Cecily Fleming to bring vitality to the district.

Anthony Lewllen
Church Street Metra underpass at Maple Street

This mural by Chicago artist Anthony Lewellen featuring colorful images of activities and food was created in partnership with Downtown Evanston to highlight the neighborhood’s many offerings. It is located on the north side of Church Street opposite Jeff Zimmerman’s mural from the same year. The mural was restored in 2023.

Jeff Zimmermann
Church Street Metra underpass at Maple Street

This mural by Chicago artist Jeff Zimmermann featuring a mix of styles and portraits of Evanston residents was created in partnership with Downtown Evanston. The mural is located on the south side of Church Street opposite Anthony Lewellen’s mural from the same year. In 2023, this mural was restored with an updated design.
